The practice of self-grooming and beautification has it’s origins in ancient cultures, when it was often allied with the practice of medicine. Ancient ruins and archeological excavations have given us proof that even in prehistoric times men and women were interested in making themselves more attractive. Paintings, sculptures, and the written word are the means by which we can study the fascinating practices of skin care by early cultures. Throughout time men and women have tried to improve upon nature by changing and enhancing their appearance, including slowing down the aging process as we continually strive and improve in the field of aesthetics. This is a time of revolutionary changes in what we know about the skin and the ways we care for it. Keeping the skin healthy and youthful looking for decades is no longer a fantasy.

Non-Surgical Face Lift (CACI)

CACI means: Computer Aided Cosmetology Instrument The CACI treatment has had over 20 years of medical research behind it and is completely safe and painless. It is the original non-surgical face lifting treatment which was devised by Dr. Thomas Wing of the United States.

It was approximately 11 years ago when CACI first came to England and was given the name the non-surgical face-lift. Previously, the CACI system had been used for medical treatment of Bell’s Palsy and in the sports field for muscular injuries. CACI applications are also widely used in hospital burn units such as the Wellington Hospital, North London and by many physiotherapists for pain relief.

CACI MICRO-MODE uses a tiny micro-current, which helps to tone, lift and re-educate the muscles back to their original position. Kinesiologists ( muscle specialists) have demonstrated that any muscle can be re-programmed to accept or release it’s tone. The face has over 30 muscles that lie directly below, and are connected to, the skin’s surface. When muscles are stimulated they either contract (shorten) or expand (lengthen). Proper firmness is re-established through the non-surgical procedure by correcting the sagging muscle, which in turn corrects the sag of the skin. The treatment also stimulates blood circulation, which helps improve muscle tone and counteract dryness.

Micro-mode also works on improving the skin tissue, e.g.:-acne scars, blemishes, sun damaged skin, dry dehydrated skin; problematic oily skin. It also helps to soften lines and wrinkles. The treatment will stimulate the circulation of energy to the facial tissues and muscles. This increases the rate that the skin produces proteins such as collagen and elastin.

Micro-mode works in harmony with the body’s own bio-electrical field. The body works from electrical impulses and the impulses provided by Micro-mode are very similar, therefore the current is virtually sub-sensory. Generally you will feel very little, if anything at all.

Treatments for CACI generally run as a course of treatments, averaging between 10 and 15 treatments, depending on your skin tissue and muscle tone. On completion of treatment series, a maintenance treatment every 4-6 weeks is suggested. Your first visit includes a consultation where we will get your paperwork completed and go over the areas of concern. If you have recently had Botox or other similar injectables, or fillers, please contact us so we can discuss the areas you are interested in treating. I look forward to meeting you and helping you Turn Back Time.
